Voyageur Canoe - 2009
Mr. Parkstrom organised four day canoe trips from New Denver in the nine-seater Voyageur canoe on Slocan and Summit Lakes. Team building was a necessity if the canoers were to get anywhere in their huge craft however sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, island exploring and petroglyphs were their rewards when they paddled in unison.

Canoe and Camp - 2009
40 Grade 3-12 students canoed and camped on the shores of Slocan Lake under the direction of Mr. Bardarti and Katrina Sumrall. The group included many parent volunteers and an experienced emergency rescue team. The weather was absolutely gorgeous and the trip from Hills to Slocan included a few hikes up the creeks including Nemo Falls.
